Ladies who say FUCK
Why do people get upset when women use profanity towards powerful men?

The Hugo Ceremony of 2020 was a GIANT FUCKUP. So many people fucked up to get it to the monstro cluster it became. @eilatan used “strong language” to illustrate obvious facts. That language was NEEDED.
I too, used strong language in my thread on this topic. I said that people fucked up. I lay blame all over the damn place.

Women (and those who read that way) do not owe any damn body their politeness. Nobody does, but somehow when a woman does it the uproar is bananas.
I am embarrassed by the SFF community that a needed essay is being used to weaponize #DisConIII’s Code of Conduct by people who would never have respected the damn Code as applying to their own behavior at a convention.

I am equally embarrassed that File770 is treating this garbage like news worth reporting on.

We can and should do BETTER than this. That is part of what Natalie was asking with her essay.
